ALEX RODRÍGUEZ
Alex Rodríguez is a Mexican-French human being that fell into a film frame at the turn of the century. A director and Academy Award Nominee Editor, Alex's career spans decades and continents. Currently based in Los Angeles, Alex is developing a slate of feature films following a successful career as an editor.
Alex is currently editing Lords of War, written and directed by Andrew Niccol and starring Nicolas Cage and Bill Skarsgård.
In his cutting room role, Alex left his mark on many acclaimed films, including Y tu Mamá También and Children of Men, both directed by Alfonso Cuarón, Mosul, directed by Matthew Carnahan and produced by Joe and Anthony Russo, Anon, directed by Andrew Niccol, Carré Blanc, directed by Jean-Baptiste Léonetti, Extraction 2, directed by Sam Hargrave.
He has collaborated with famed directors Laurent Cantet, Daniel Barber, Gabriele Muccino, Renny Harlin and Martin Campbell. Alex was fortunate enough to be interviewed by Ashgar Farhadi for a film that was sadly never made.
FEDERICO CONFORTI
Federico Conforti is an award-winning film and television editor best known for his work on They Call Me Jeeg Robot (Lo chiamavano Jeeg Robot), the Italian cult phenomenon nominated for 16 David di Donatello Awards (Italian Academy Awards) and winner of 7, including Best Editing. He grew up in the seaside city of Livorno, Tuscany, where he discovered his passion for storytelling while performing with local theater companies. After earning a degree in Cinema, Music and Theater from the University of Pisa, he honed his craft at post-production houses in Rome before relocating to Los Angeles, where he is now based. Federico’s work spans feature films, documentaries, scripted series, and branded content, always with a strong cinematic approach. The feature documentary Viva Verdi!, a portrait of the third act of life inside a retirement home for musicians, received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song at the 2026 Oscars. His award-winning credits also include the Emmy-nominated and Webby Award-winning series Almost Famous (New York Times Op-Docs, Breakwater Studios). He won a Webby Award for Best Branded Documentary for Blood Rider (Google) and was nominated for a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Edited Sports Series for Defying Gravity (All3Media, Google). He also received the Webby People’s Voice Award for Best Editing for That’s My Jazz (Breakwater Studios).
JOAQUÍN ELIZONDO
Joaquin Elizondo, ACE is an accomplished editor specializing in film & scripted television. His most recent credits include Griselda (Netflix), Dark Winds (AMC), Narcos: Mexico (Netflix), and The Hot Zone: Anthrax (NatGeo). Currently he is editing the Western drama series The Abandons (Netflix) starring Gillian Anderson and Lena Headey. With an extensive background in editing, he has honed his skills across a wide range of projects, including documentaries, branded content, talk shows, and sports. Joaquin grew up in Southern California and graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Film & Video Studies. His diverse experiences have shaped his creative approach to editing and storytelling. Having benefited from the transformative power of mentorship, he founded Hollywood Editing Mentor, an online learning platform and podcast dedicated to guiding and supporting aspiring editors as well as those already working in post-production. His mission is to empower individuals to reach their professional goals by providing the insights, tools, and support needed to navigate the industry successfully.
